Doosan Enerbility said Tuesday it will collaborate with LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) to develop engines for guided weapons amid growing global demand for defense systems.
The companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate on the development, testing, verification and certification of propulsion systems for guided weapons.
Under the agreement, LIG D&A will oversee the development of guided weapon systems, while Doosan Enerbility will focus on developing engines to power them.
The partnership aims to combine LIG D&A’s expertise in precision-guided weapons with Doosan Enerbility’s engine technologies to strengthen their competitiveness in the global defense market.
