Laryea Kingston appointed Head Coach of Uganda’s junior national teams, leads U-17 side to FIFA World Cup

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed Ghanaian coach Laryea Kingston as the new head coach of all Uganda national men’s junior football teams on a two-year contract.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, by FUFA CEO Edgar Watson in Kampala, highlighting the federation’s commitment to strengthening youth football development in the country.

Now 24-years after playing in the U-17 FIFA World Cup, ex-Ghana International and seasoned football pundit, will make a return to the tournament this time as a coach in charge of Uganda.
