The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has appointed former chairman of Parliament’s Select Committee on Youth, Sports and Culture, Kobena Mensah Woyome, as head of its newly established Government Relations and Stakeholders Sub-Committee.
A letter dated August 12, 2025, and signed by GOC Secretary Mohammed Muniru Kassim, confirmed the appointment, which entrusts Mr Woyome with the responsibility of driving government engagement and advising on policies that align with the GOC’s development agenda and the statutes of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
