Ghana coach Otto Addo has criticized the Confederation of African Football for approving the Stade Olympique Marechal Idriss Déby Itno for international matches.
The newly constructed stadium, will host Thursday’s Group I Match Day six World Cup Qualifier between Chad and Ghana at 1 PM local time.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Black Stars coach Otto Addo said the playing surface was not good enough.
‘‘I am surprised that CAF allowed this (astro turf) pitch for an international match. The pitch is really not good. It is very hard. For the players, it is like playing on concrete.’’

Addo made the observations after the Black Stars mandatory training session on the pitch at the 30,000-seat stadium located in Mandjafa, on the eastern outskirts of the capital, N’Djamena.
Ghana lead Group I with 15 points, after winning five out of six matches.
