President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, has arrived in Ghana to commiserate with President John Mahama and Ghanaians on the tragic military helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 6.

Eight Ghanaians, including two ministers of state and six other persons, lost their lives in Wednesday’s military helicopter crash at Adansi in the Ashanti Region.

Upon his arrival at the Ceremonial Gardens of the Jubilee House in Accra, President Bio laid a wreath and lit a candle in memory of the helicopter crash victims, honouring their legacy and expressing his country’s shared grief.

In an earlier post on Facebook on Wednesday, President Bio extended his sympathies to President John Dramani Mahama, the government, and the people of Ghana.

He described the incident as a profound national tragedy and assured Ghanaians of Sierra Leone’s unwavering solidarity during this period of mourning.
