Ghana Water Ladies Association constructs new washroom facilities for Bamang JHS to improve sanitation

“The absence of adequate washroom facilities posed a major challenge, particularly for female students. Beyond the indignity and inconvenience of having to relieve themselves in nearby bushes, some girls were forced to miss school during their menstrual periods. This intervention is expected to address these challenges, improve menstrual hygiene management, and ensure that no girl has to miss school because of the lack of proper washroom facilities,” Mr. Asante said.
