A team from the ECOWAS Commission, led by the Humanitarian Directorate, is conducting a 4-day assessment mission in Liberia.
The mission aims to evaluate the impact of a humanitarian response initiative that disbursed over $440,000 to support vulnerable communities affected by flood disasters and food insecurity.
Launched in November 2023, the initiative has exceeded expectations by providing critical assistance to 1,878 families, surpassing its initial target of 1,841 families.
The initiative was designed to be inclusive, with beneficiaries encompassing 10,000 individuals across 30 flood-affected communities, prioritizing support for pregnant women, single mothers, people with disabilities, and those without income.
This inclusivity is a testament to our respect for all members of the community.
