Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) swiftly rescued a dog that had fallen into a well at Amamorley Canada Junction, following a distress call on January 20, 2025.

According to a press statement, a three-member rescue team led by Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADO1) Nana Kobina Biney was dispatched within minutes of the call.

The team arrived promptly at the scene and carried out the rescue in accordance with standard safety procedures.

The trapped dog was successfully rescued from the well, unharmed.

The statement, issued by the Public Relations Officer of the GNFS in the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday, January 22, 2026, praised the swift response of the officers and highlighted the Service’s commitment to protecting life and property.
