Aspiring President of the Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GABF), Alhaji Dauda Fuseni, has promised to completely rebrand the sport and overhaul the federation’s operations if elected.
The current vice-president, who is contesting for the top job in the upcoming GABF election, said the current image of Ghanaian amateur boxing was driving away potential corporate partners and media interest.
He pledged during a campaign meeting with coaches. He expressed deep concern about the shabby appearance of the national team, the Black Bombers, at the recent IBA Men’s World Boxing Championships in Dubai, where boxers and officials travelled without proper uniforms.
