The Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, Myriam Montrat, has assured football fans that Canada is fully prepared to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which the country will co-host with the United States and Mexico.
Speaking ahead of the World Cup draw in Accra last Friday, she revealed that Canada had finalised plans for the introduction of a direct flight route to Toronto beginning in June 2026 to facilitate travel for fans.
“We are excited to welcome the world to Toronto and Vancouver in June and July 2026. As a matter of fact, Canada has announced that there will be a direct flight to Toronto starting this June,” she stated.
