The National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) has relaunched its incursion into the troubled Offin Shelterbelt Forest Reserve in the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n

The taskforce targeted and destroyed illegal mining camps established within the forest. <\/p>\n

The force has recently conducted a series of raids in the Apemkro and Anwiafutu sections, dismantling camps that are destroying the forest in the search for gold.<\/p>\n

During today\u2019s operation in the Ataso section, the team seized two excavators and destroyed pumping machines and other equipment.<\/p>\n
