Former Director of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba, has criticised former Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo, saying she is becoming a \u2018crybaby\u2019 for what he describes as attempts to delay ongoing legal and administrative processes concerning her removal from office.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Prime Insight <\/strong>on Saturday, October 18, 2025, Mr. Amaliba said the former Chief Justice\u2019s repeated legal actions were merely tactics to stall proceedings.<\/p>\n

\"'Torkornoo<\/figure>\n

\u201cTorkonoo is becoming a cry baby. A cry baby because at each step along the way, she decides to file processes, and both processes are meant just to stall the legal process that was ongoing. Now the committee has finished its work. For me, this matter is closed,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

His comments come after Justice Torkonoo filed a new legal action seeking to stop the vetting and subsequent appointment of Justice Baffoe-Bonnie as the next Chief Justice of Ghana. <\/p>\n
