Dr. Bawumia\u2019s words are not mere gaffes; they are historical footnotes to an era when governance became a get-rich-quick scheme. The people were told to digitise their lives; meanwhile, others were digitising their bank accounts.<\/p>\n

He told us to believe in the Ghana Card. Maybe we should have \u2014 it seems to have been the real ATM.<\/p>\n

Ghanaians deserve answers, not sermons. We need to know how this wealth was created. Was it through innovation, entrepreneurship, or simply proximity to power? If the former, Dr. Bawumia deserves a Nobel Prize in Economic Alchemy. If the latter, he owes us a national apology \u2014 and perhaps a refund.<\/p>\n

Until then, every time he says \u201cWe made people rich,\u201d the Republic will reply, \u201cYes, but which people?\u201d<\/p>\n
