Ghana goalkeeper\u00a0Richard Ofori\u00a0says he is focused on his performances right now despite eyeing a return to the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n

Speaking to iDiski Times, the AmaZulu goalkeeper admitted that while the dream of representing Ghana in North America drives him, he knows the only way to get there is through consistent performances.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m working hard and focusing on my team at the moment. That\u2019s what you need to do if you want to be there [at the World Cup],\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper also revealed he hasn\u2019t spoken to\u00a0Black Stars coach Otto Addo\u00a0recently but holds no grudges.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, no. I haven\u2019t spoken to the coach. But before, he used to call and check up on his players. He\u2019s a good man. He hasn\u2019t abandoned anyone; he just focuses more on those who are actively playing, especially since the qualifiers were so intense,\u201d Ofori explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For now, the 31-year-old\u2019s goal is to help\u00a0AmaZulu\u00a0push higher up the South African Premier League table, a task he believes will strengthen his claim for a national team recall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
