Award-winning online journalist Kobby Kyei has recounted how three key media personalities, Sammy Flex, KSM, and Sister Sandy, played pivotal roles in his rise in the creative industry.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Career Trail<\/strong> on Joy Learning TV and Joy News<\/strong>, blogger Kobby Kyei recalled how Sammy Flex, then Shatta Wale\u2019s manager, spotted him on Facebook and recruited him as a pundit on Zylophone FM, a move that gave him his first breakthrough.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I was on the radio Monday to Friday. That time, I was still struggling in the blogging space, going up and down. But because radio was big and people were tuning in, I needed to invest my energy into that. The creative industry also got to know the name Kobby Kyei beyond social media,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

Through that exposure, he began building contacts with A-list musicians and celebrities who frequently passed through the studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cBig shout out to Sammy Flex,\u201d he said. \u201cHe introduced me to the industry. That was where I met Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and many others who came to the studio,\u201d he acknowledged.<\/p>\n

Kobby Kyei also described his appearance on the KSM Show<\/em> as another turning point.<\/p>\n

The celebrated satirist and broadcaster, he revealed, was the first to feature him as a blogger.<\/p>\n

\u201cKSM told me I was doing something different. After interviewing me, he gave me a segment called \u2018Trending News\u2019 on his show. That was a big deal for me because it gave me access to influential people, politicians, doctors, and other big personalities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He noted that being associated with KSM brought a different kind of recognition.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes I\u2019ll be at the mall and I\u2019ll see a big man roll down his glass and say, \u2018Oh, are you the Kobby Kyei guy? I watch you on the KSM Show.\u2019 That exposure was priceless,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

The blogger further credited Sister Sandy, an Adom TV presenter, for giving him a platform as a regular pundit on the Ahosepe Xtra show.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod bless Sister Sandy so much and her team and the crew. I was also part of Ahosepe Xtra, where she was the host. Every Saturday, I was part of the punditry, and they also gave me that audience. I appreciate her so much because she and her team gave me a platform at that time,\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n

\"Sammy<\/figure>\n

According to Kobby Kyei, these media opportunities cemented his place in the creative space.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you go through the process and build your network well, it is difficult for people to write your name off because you are planted like a seed, and it is not easy for them to uproot you. I thank God for these connections and the new ones too, because now my network has widened, and now I am even doing more with Nana Ama McBrown.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
