Four people were injured on Saturday, October 11, 2025, after a National Ambulance Service vehicle from Nkawkaw was involved in a crash at Afosu in the Birim North Municipality of the Eastern Region.<\/p>\n

According to the New Abirem Municipal Fire Station, a distress call was received at about 2:30 p.m., prompting the dispatch of a seven-member rescue team led by LFM Tenkorang Ofori Prince.<\/p>\n

Preliminary investigations revealed that the ambulance, with registration number GV-567-20, reportedly suffered a brake failure and somersaulted multiple times before landing on its side.<\/p>\n

All four occupants of the vehicle were rescued and rushed to the New Abirem Government Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Firefighters also cleared the road of blood stains and recovered vital medical equipment, including a ventilator, cardiac monitor, fire extinguisher, chest compression device, stethoscope, and telephone.<\/p>\n

Personnel from the Ghana Police Service were on-site to manage traffic flow and assist with preliminary investigations into the cause of the accident.<\/p>\n
