Ghanaian blogger and humanitarian, Kobby Kyei, has revealed that a piece of advice from award-winning Afro-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy changed his outlook on blogging and strengthened his resolve to focus on impact rather than chasing trends.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Career Trail<\/em> programme<\/strong> with Irene Adubea Aning on Joy Learning TV and Joy News, Kobby Kyei recalled a private moment with the dancehall star after an interview.<\/p>\n

According to him, Stonebwoy acknowledged his work but urged him to be patient with the results.<\/p>\n

\"Stonebwoy<\/figure>\n

\u201cStonebwoy told me, \u2018Kobby, I follow you, I see the amazing things you\u2019re doing. But your path is generational. You might not get the benefits now, but always have it at the back of your mind: the world is watching you,\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n

That statement, he said, sank deep into his spirit.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me, if you base your mission on the fact that people don\u2019t gravitate towards your content, you might hurt your soul and your spirit one day. That hit me so hard,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He continued that experience has since proven the advice true.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven now that I have the numbers, I see the truth of Stonebwoy\u2019s words. The people who really help me, most of them don\u2019t even comment. Some don\u2019t even follow me. But they\u2019re the ones who bring me gigs, connect me to diplomats, and even invite me to the UN or Paris for collaborations. Imagine, I\u2019m not even a sports blogger, but I was invited to the Olympic Games in Paris. Why? Because the world is watching,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

For Kobby Kyei, Stonebwoy\u2019s words have become a guiding principle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI now understand Stonebwoy\u2019s concept. The people who will help you, the people whose lives your work will impact, may never comment on your posts. But the world is watching you. And I am deeply grateful to Stonebwoy for sharing these words with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
