Century Aviation Ltd, a 100% Ghanaian-owned aviation company, has marked a new milestone in Ghana\u2019s transportation industry with a successful demonstration flight to Ho Airport. <\/p>\n

The flight departed from Kotoka International Airport on September 25, 2025 at 14:40 GMT with 19 passengers aboard a Cessna Sky Courier aircraft, with a flight time of about 30 minutes, and returned to Accra around 16:35.<\/p>\n

The demonstration flight was a collaboration between Century Aviation and Africair, the authorized Africa representatives of Textron Aviation, manufacturers of the aircraft. <\/p>\n

Both companies have been working closely on a plan to introduce a reliable and efficient air taxi service for Ghana for the past four years. <\/p>\n

Century Aviation intends to provide scheduled passenger and cargo flights across under-served markets while augmenting its charter services for multinational, oil and gas, and mining companies.<\/p>\n

Managing Director of Century Aviation, Essie Anno Sackey, commended the safety, efficiency, versatility, and performance of the Sky Courier aircraft. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are particularly impressed with two things \u2013 one is that you can easily reconfigure the internal space for passengers or cargo, depending on the flight requirements. The other thing is that the Sky Courier can land and take off on various runway surfaces, allowing us to service under-served destinations in Ghana and West Africa, as we are planning,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The Cessna Sky Courier is a low maintenance twin-engine, high wing turboprop aircraft able to transport up to 19 passengers, along with luggage. <\/p>\n

The aircraft is designed for comfort, offering extra legroom, USB charging ports, and windows along every row. <\/p>\n

The aircraft has a maximum cruise speed of 389kmh, maximum operating altitude of 25,000ft, and a maximum range of 1,704km. <\/p>\n

The Cessna SkyCourier can be operated by a single pilot and has a cargo capacity of 6,000 pounds.<\/p>\n
