Ghana\u2019s national junior badminton team has progressed to the knockout stage of the Mixed Team Relay at the\u00a0Badmington World Federation Championships after a 10-0 win over Uganda.<\/p>\n

The match was a \u201cRelay\u201d format, meaning the first team to win two matches in each of the five categories (Men\u2019s Singles, Women\u2019s Singles, Men\u2019s Doubles, Women\u2019s Doubles, Mixed Doubles) wins the overall tie.<\/p>\n

Adu-Mintah was the first to represent Ghana in the Men\u2019s singles and he set the tone with a\u00a09-6\u00a0win over Akbar Oduka.<\/p>\n

The trend continued in the women\u2019s singles when Rachael Quarcoo edged a tight battle\u00a0to secure an 18-15 over her opponent Vivian Nalule.<\/p>\n

In the men\u2019s doubles, the pair of Adu-Mintah & Shang managed a high-scoring\u00a027-23 over Kibirige and Oduka.<\/p>\n

Next, Adu teamed up with Quarcoo in the women\u2019s doubles to secure commanding\u00a036-26 win over Nalule \/ Ndagire.<\/p>\n

The mixed doubles also followed a similar outcome\u00a0as Shang and Adu sealed the overall victory with a\u00a045-36\u00a0win against Kibirige \/ Ndagire.<\/p>\n

Ghana continued their form, winning all five remaining matches to complete a historic 10-0 sweep.<\/p>\n

Following the first round success, Ghana will now face European champions and third-seeded Slovakia on Thursday, October 9, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
