Coventry City forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has been handed a late call-up to the Black Stars team for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thomas-Asante replaces Inaki Williams who drops out of the squad due to an injury he suffered in Athletic Club\u2019s game against Mallorca on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a great of form for the Championship side, Thomas-Asante was left out of the initial team to face Central African Republic and Comoros in the final phase of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, an injury to the Spain-based striker means Thomas-Asante gets to rejoin the squad for the first time since the Unity Cup in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has already arrived in camp ahead of the team\u2019s second training on Monday, October 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Coventry man has rediscovered his form in front of goal with five goals and three assists in 9 Championship games this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was twice on the scoresheet in the win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, October 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thomas-Asante has one goal in four appearances for the senior national team of Ghana.\u00a0<\/p>\n
