The body of\u00a0Alhassan\u00a0Alasa\u00a0Inusah, the 27-year-old Senior High School (SHS) graduate who drowned in the River Menu on Sunday,\u00a0September 28,\u00a0has been found and laid to rest\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0Islamic customs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His body was discovered on Tuesday, September 30, and buried the same day at\u00a0Okanta, near\u00a0Kadjebi.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The incident occurred while the deceased and his twin brother,\u00a0Inusah\u00a0Fuseini, were crossing the River Menu on a motorbike via a bamboo footbridge.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While\u00a0Fuseini\u00a0managed to swim to safety, his brother was swept away by the river\u2019s strong current.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the funeral prayer grounds, a former Assembly Member for the\u00a0Kosamba\u00a0Electoral\u00a0Area\u00a0and father of the deceased, Inusah\u00a0Adam, described his son as \u201can affable, hardworking, respectful, and humble young man.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said the loss was a devastating blow to the family and the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hundreds of mourners from\u00a0Kadjebi,\u00a0Okanta,\u00a0Menuso, and\u00a0Awudome\u00a0Kofe\u00a0gathered at the funeral to pay their final respects to the calm and approachable young man.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
