NPP Communications Team Member, Kwasi Kwarteng, has launched a blistering assessment of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia\u2019s chances in the party\u2019s flagbearer race, boldly predicting a decisive victory for Kennedy Agyapong.<\/p>\n

According to him, key figures in Bawumia\u2019s camp have deserted the former Vice President, leaving his campaign weaker by the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the big wigs in Bawumia\u2019s camp have bowed out. That gives Kennedy Agyapong a clear advantage,\u201d Kwarteng stated.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Nhyira FM\u2019s morning show, Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng dismissed the recent Global Info Analytics polls that pegged Kennedy Agyapong\u2019s support at 17 percent, questioning the credibility of the survey\u2019s methodology.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Global Info Analytics poll giving Kennedy Agyapong 17% is unreasonable. It could be biased based on their sampling technique,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kwarteng argued that the data itself reflects a worrying trend for Dr. Bawumia, whose support is sliding. Projecting confidence, he predicted a clear first-round victory for Agyapong.<\/p>\n

\u201cDr. Bawumia cannot cross 27% in the flagbearer race. The Global Info Analytics data itself shows his votes dropping by 5% every month. Ken Agyapong will win this flag bearer race with between 62% and 64%,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

Kwarteng also highlighted what he described as a symbolic benefit to the Ashanti Region if Agyapong wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cAshanti Region could have another First Lady apart from Konadu Agyemang Rawlings. Kennedy Agyapong\u2019s wife is from Asante Mampong,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On concerns about Agyapong\u2019s fiery personality, he urged delegates to focus on leadership capacity rather than temperament.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must look beyond Ken Agyapong\u2019s temper and focus on his competence,\u201d said Mr. Kwarteng.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
