President of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), Reverend Father Stephen Owusu Sekyere, has strongly condemned the fondling of a female student by the Assistant Headmaster of KNUST Senior High School, Charles Akwasi Aidoo.<\/p>\n

His reaction follows the circulation of a viral video showing Mr Aidoo in a compromising situation with the student.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, Rev. Father Sekyere expressed his shock and disappointment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw it a couple of days ago. I was speechless. I must say that I didn\u2019t know what to say. I couldn\u2019t watch it again because I didn\u2019t want to see it again. It\u2019s something that no one else would like to see. I must condemn it in all certain terms. I don\u2019t want to even watch the video again, something that shouldn\u2019t happen in any senior high school in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has removed Mr Aidoo following the circulation of the video on social media.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued on Monday, September 29, the Service said it views the incident with \u201cutmost seriousness\u201d and has taken immediate steps to safeguard students.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr Aidoo has already been removed from office and prohibited from going to the school while thorough investigations are being carried out,\u201d the statement, signed by GES Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, said.<\/p>\n

GES further assured parents, stakeholders, and the public that due process will be followed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with the code of conduct of the Ghana Education Service.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
