Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President and 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is beginning a two-day tour of the Central Region today, Monday, 29 September.<\/p>\n

The visit forms part of his campaign activities as he seeks re-election as the party\u2019s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.<\/p>\n

Dr Bawumia is expected to meet regional and constituency executives across the region, engaging them on the party\u2019s strategy and preparations for the next polls.<\/p>\n

His tour also includes courtesy calls on traditional authorities, as well as interactions with grassroots supporters and opinion leaders.<\/p>\n

Party officials say the Central Region remains a key battleground ahead of 2028, and Dr Bawumia\u2019s engagements are aimed at consolidating his support base while addressing concerns from local party structures.<\/p>\n

His campaign team has described the tour as a critical step in sustaining momentum and energising the grassroots.<\/p>\n
