Legacy Girls\u2019 College (LGC), Ghana\u2019s leading all-girls private boarding senior high school, is celebrating a decade of empowering young women through a values-driven and future-forward education.<\/p>\n

Launched earlier this year under the theme, \u201cA Decade of Intentional Leadership: Empowering the Next Generation of Women,\u201d the 10th anniversary recognises the school\u2019s bold vision to raise caring, confident, and competent female leaders who lead with purpose and make a positive impact in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe future of work is no longer ahead of us \u2014 it\u2019s here,\u201d said Dr. Mrs. Ellen Hagan, co-founder. \u201cAt Legacy, we equip our girls to thrive in a world increasingly shaped by robotics and artificial intelligence. But beyond technology, it\u2019s the human traits \u2014 empathy, integrity, emotional intelligence, collaboration \u2014 that will keep them relevant and impactful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Founded in 2015 by Dr. Hagan and Essie Anno Sackey, Legacy Girls\u2019 College began with just 23 students and has grown into a thriving, full-capacity institution serving nearly 700 students across Ghana and beyond. The school\u2019s philosophy is anchored in five core values: Integrity, Responsibility, Excellence, Ambition, and Determination \u2014 captured in the acronym I READ.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe instil not just academic excellence, but also a strong sense of responsibility to others,\u201d noted Mrs. Anno Sackey. \u201cWe want our girls to care \u2014 not only about their success, but about the world they\u2019re stepping into and how they can make it better.\u201d<\/p>\n

The anniversary float which took place on Saturday the 27th of September, is one of many activities to celebrate God\u2019s goodness to the school in its 10 years of existence.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cThis 10-year milestone is not just about the past,\u201d said Board Chair Mr. Israel Titi Ofei. \u201cIt\u2019s a recommitment to our mission \u2014 to nurture girls who will lead at every level of society, grounded in character and in competence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instrumental to the school\u2019s development is Mrs. Millicent Clarke, the third shareholder and director.\u00a0 She commented as follows:<\/p>\n

\u201cLegacy continues to stand out because of its clarity of purpose and commitment to excellence,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re building an institution that lasts \u2014 and that starts with the girls we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Head of School Ms. Grace Edziyie emphasized that Legacy is more than academics:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe challenge our girls to grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Our vision is to raise well-rounded young women who can lead with courage and character.\u201d<\/p>\n
