Former Hasaacas Ladies forward Mercy Attobrah was twice on the scoresheet as the Black Princesses enjoyed a winning start to their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup Qualifiers. <\/p>\n

Ghana faced their first hurdle in the qualifiers earlier on Saturday, September 20, coming up against Tunisia in the first leg of the second round. <\/p>\n

At the end of the game, it was Attobrah who scored twice to give Charles Sampson\u2019s side a 2-0 win on the road. <\/p>\n

Having only joined the team in Tunisia, Attobrah was given a starting berth by the technical team, leading the line alongside Linda Owusu Ansah and Zeinab Haruna. <\/p>\n

The Al Ahly striker scored the opening goal of the game inside the first five minutes to give Ghana the lead. <\/p>\n

The team had several opportunities to double their lead but fluffed their lines in the final phase of the attack. <\/p>\n

Ghana went into the break with just a 1-0 lead. <\/p>\n

However, after the recess, Attobrah struck again. Her effort from about 20 yards out beat the Tunisian goalkeeper to double the Black Princesses\u2019 lead. <\/p>\n

Sarah Nayrko had an attempt from close range go just wide of the post as Ghana pressed for a third of the game. <\/p>\n

At the end of the day, the two goals were enough for the Black Princesses, who will now pay attention to the return leg of the encounter in Accra on Sunday, September 28. <\/p>\n

The Black Princesses are chasing an eighth successive appearance at the U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup since their debut in 2010.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
