The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has rolled out a new training programme to help young people build their own businesses.<\/p>\n

The five-day workshop, led by Dr. Mrs. Juliana Akushika-Andoh of the Marketing Department and the project lead, focuses on practical lessons in entrepreneurship. Participants learn about business strategy, branding, marketing, accounting, taxes, and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to change the mindset of our youth, from job seekers to problem solvers.<\/p>\n

Each day includes sessions with experienced Ghanaian entrepreneurs, who share their real-life journeys, including the struggles and lessons they\u2019ve learnt along the way.<\/p>\n

The programme is open to everyone, not just UPSA students.<\/p>\n

Participants include artisans, traders, graduates, and persons with disabilities. <\/p>\n

At the end of the training, certificates would be awarded, and those with outstanding business ideas would get additional support to turn their ideas into real businesses.<\/p>\n

Feedback has been very positive, with many calling for the programme to be held yearly.<\/p>\n

UPSA hopes to continue and expand the training, reaching even more young people across the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
