Asante Kotoko have expressed dissatisfaction with the ongoing probe into the death of fan Nana Frimpong Pooley, more than seven months after the incident.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been 226 days since the murder of the Porcupine supporter, yet no one has been found guilty.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred on February 2, during last season\u2019s Premier League clash between Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, when the fan was stabbed to death.<\/p>\n

The case still lingers in court, with eight people standing trial, and Kotoko are calling for swift action.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe matter is pending in court, it is for the state [because] this is a criminal matter,\u201d Kotoko\u2019s Communications Director Sarfo Duku told JoySports.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast Wednesday, we were in court and the matter was adjourned to the 9th of October. All that we are waiting for is for the processes to be sped up.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou cannot put any blame on anybody because of the nature of our judicial system. It has always been slow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The incident marred last season\u2019s Premier League, with the competition halted for over a month to allow stakeholder discussions and the introduction of enhanced safety and security protocols.<\/p>\n

Following the acts of hooliganism, Nsoatreman FC withdrew from the competition.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kotoko, who ended the season in third place, have started the new campaign with a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
