In a significant step toward developing Ghana\u2019s electric vehicle (EV) talent pipeline,\u00a0EV House LTD, through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, hosted an educational and hands-on training session at the\u00a0Accra Technical Training Center (ATTC).<\/p>\n

The event was attended by selected students, staff technicians, and academic leadership, including the Principal of ATTC,\u00a0Arko Domotey. The highlight of the programme was a special guest presentation by\u00a0Edward Hightower\u00a0the founder & CEO of EV House LTD, who led participants through a comprehensive session on the key systems that make up modern electric vehicles and how they differ from traditional petrol or diesel vehicles.<\/p>\n

Using EV House\u2019s Geely Geome Panda Mini\u00a0\u2014 the most accessible EV in Ghana \u2014 as a real-world teaching tool, Mr. Hightower walked students through the vehicle\u2019s structure and functionality. His session covered the core elements of vehicle architecture, known in the industry as\u00a0vehicle partitions\u00a0or\u00a0major vehicle subsystems. These included the powertrain, chassis, thermal, interior and safety, exterior, body, electrical, and electronics systems.<\/p>\n

The use of the Panda Mini allowed students and technicians to see, touch, and interact with the actual components being discussed, bringing theory into clear practical focus. EV House also offers the Geely Riddara RD6 all electric pickup \u2013 the most functional EV in Ghana.<\/p>\n

As the global automotive industry transitions from internal combustion engines to electric propulsion, the session highlighted the critical role that local institutions like ATTC can play in developing the skilled workforce needed to support this shift. It also emphasized the importance of creating early exposure to EV technology for students and technical staff alike.<\/p>\n

This training session marks the beginning of what is expected to be a broader and long-term collaboration between\u00a0EV House LTD and ATTC, with future activities planned, including advanced technical workshops, internships, and curriculum development tailored to electric mobility.<\/p>\n

In his remarks,\u00a0Arko Domotey, Principal of ATTC, expressed his gratitude to EV House LTD for the collaboration and emphasised the importance of exposing students to emerging technologies.\u00a0\u201cWe are proud to host this initiative and grateful for the opportunity to align our training with the future of mobility. Programs like this equip our students with the relevant skills to thrive in the evolving automotive industry,\u201d\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n

Together, EV House LTD and ATTC are paving the way for a sustainable and skilled EV ecosystem in Ghana\u2014driven by education, innovation, and local expertise.<\/p>\n
