Government Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has described the turnout at President John Dramani Mahama\u2019s recent presidential media encounter as \u201cimpressive and unprecedented.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking on Joy FM\u2019s Super Morning Show on Monday, September 15, Mr Kwakye Ofosu said the event reflected the strong public and media interest in the President\u2019s governance agenda.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe attendance was remarkable,\u201d he stated. \u201cWe had an overwhelming presence of journalists, editors, and senior media professionals, which is a clear demonstration of how much value the media attaches to the President\u2019s accountability to the people.\u201d<\/p>\n

He stressed that the event was not only about numbers but also about the quality of engagement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe range of questions posed and the depth of issues discussed showed that the media took the encounter very seriously. It was an excellent platform for the President to clarify policies and respond directly to the concerns of Ghanaians,\u201d Mr Kwakye Ofosu noted.<\/p>\n

According to the Communications Minister, President Mahama\u2019s commitment to openness and transparency was once again affirmed through the session.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President has always made it clear that he welcomes scrutiny and accountability. That is the hallmark of true democracy, and I believe the attendance at this event speaks volumes about the trust the public and the media have in this process,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
