One person has died in a fatal accident at Sanso Junction on the Obuasi\u2013Dunkwa highway.<\/p>\n

A Kia truck traveling from Wassa Japa to Anhwiankwanta with two persons on board, was involved in a fatal accident on the Obuasi\u2013Dunkwa highway at Sanso Junction.<\/p>\n

According to police reports, the driver of the truck, Yahaya Abdul Samed, aged 31, veered off his lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus with registration number AS 3789-21.<\/p>\n

The minibus was driven by Ibrahim Yusif, aged 32, who was heading from Obuasi to Dunkwa with 23 passengers on board.<\/p>\n

Several occupants of the minibus sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to the Obuasi Government Hospital and the AGA Health Foundation Hospital at Obuasi for treatment.<\/p>\n

Tragically, one of the passengers, Mary Boatemaa, aged 62, who was onboard the Sprinter bus, died at the scene. <\/p>\n

Her body has since been deposited at the Obuasi Government Hospital mortuary.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
