A remarkable intercontinental cycling journey is nearing its end as Ghanaian adventurer Emmanuel Adjei closes in on the finish line in Accra. <\/p>\n

Adjei\u2019s solo ride, a project he\u2019s dubbed \u201cBike2MyRoots,\u201d has seen him traverse deserts and continents to raise awareness and funds for high-quality education in underserved communities across Ghana.<\/p>\n

Having shared glimpses of his epic trek through his Instagram account, www.instagram.com\/bike2myroots<\/strong>, Adjei has given his followers a front-row seat to his long days on the road, unique camping spots, and encounters with curious community members. <\/p>\n

His journey, which will make him the first Ghanaian to complete such an intercontinental cycling feat, is about far more than a personal challenge.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Adjei commented, \u201cThis cycling project is not solely about seeking the thrills of an adventure or a challenge. Inspired by the saying, \u2018become the change you wish to see in the world,\u2019 I am driven to use cycling to mobilize funds, support, and raise awareness to ignite and sustain community-led change through education and empowerment in deprived Ghanaian communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, the Bike2MyRoots initiative has successfully raised over \u20ac14,000. <\/p>\n

The funds will be channelled to EduSpots, a non-profit organisation that works to expand its network of education hubs, known as \u2018Spots,\u2019 with the goal of reaching 100 locations across Ghana. <\/p>\n

EduSpots currently collaborates with over 400 local change-makers, or \u2018Catalysts,\u2019 to provide learners with clubs focused on early years education, digital literacy, gender equity, STEM, and environmental education.<\/p>\n

Adu Bohaen Carlos, Chairperson of EduSpots\u2019 Catalyst Committee, lauded Emmanuel\u2019s efforts. <\/p>\n

Emmanuel Adjei is expected to arrive in Accra on Friday, September 19. <\/p>\n

A special celebratory event is planned for his arrival at Independence Square, where he will be welcomed by supporters, friends, and family, as well as the EduSpots team. <\/p>\n

The celebrations will continue with a welcoming durbar in Teshie on Saturday, September 20.<\/p>\n

The organisers are encouraging the public to join in the celebration and support the cause. <\/p>\n

Enthusiasts can participate by leading their own \u201cspin-off\u201d fundraising challenge or by making a direct donation to the cause via the campaign\u2019s Raisely page. <\/p>\n
