Kumasi is set to host thousands of people from across Ghana and beyond for the 2025 Breast Cancer Walk for Cure. <\/p>\n

The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, will bring together over 30,000 people under the theme \u201cA Cure Worth Fighting For.\u201d<\/p>\n

The walk will start at the Adum Post Office and end at the Manhyia Durbar Grounds, filling the city with energy and solidarity.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event marks a significant milestone for Breast Care International (BCI), the organizer, as it unveils a new brand identity after 23 years of advocating for women\u2019s health.<\/p>\n

The rebranding reflects BCI\u2019s growing commitment to fighting breast cancer and its bold vision for the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is more than just an event. It\u2019s a movement. It\u2019s a family. It\u2019s survivorship, it\u2019s hope in motion,\u201d said Dr. (Mrs.) Beatrice Wiafe Addai, Founder and President of BCI.<\/p>\n

Dr. Wiafe Addai emphasized that breast cancer is not just a personal issue, but a societal and developmental challenge that requires a collective response.<\/p>\n

The upcoming walk aims to raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and honor those who have lost their lives to the disease.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor years, BCI has made a significant impact through free breast cancer screenings, education, and early detection initiatives.
The annual Walk for the Cure has become a national rallying point\u2014bringing together survivors, opinion and traditional leaders, government officials, healthcare professionals, families, students, and communities in one united mission: to defeat breast cancer,\u201d Dr Wiafe Addai said.<\/p>\n
