Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been appointed to the Management Committee of Ghana\u2019s home-based national team, the Black Galaxies.<\/p>\n

Badu joins a newly constituted team chaired by Executive Council member and Bechem United CEO, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, with Volta Regional FA Chairman Daniel Agboga serving as Vice Chairman.<\/p>\n

Other members of the committee include Na-God FC CEO Michael Kofi Oduro and Daniel Asante of Wamanafo Mighty Royals.<\/p>\n

The Committee has been tasked with overseeing \u201cthe strategic direction and competitive readiness\u201d of the Black Galaxies for future assignments.<\/p>\n

According to the Ghana Football Association, Badu\u2019s addition is \u201cexpected to boost the committee with first-hand knowledge of international football and player development.\u201d<\/p>\n

Badu previously featured for the Black Galaxies at the 2009 African Nations Championship in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

He later played a pivotal role in Ghana\u2019s historic 2009 U-20 AFCON and FIFA U-20 World Cup triumphs before going on to earn 78 caps for the Black Stars.<\/p>\n

The Galaxies did not qualify for the just-ended Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), having been knockout out of the qualifiers by West African rivals Nigeria.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
