With the Akwatia by-election slated for September 2, the Ghana Police Service has stepped up not only its visible presence but also its community engagement efforts, reassuring residents of a secure and transparent electoral process.<\/p>\n

The Police have deployed 5,500 personnel to the Akwatia constituency, with most of them embarking on coordinated marches on the streets this morning as part of their assurance measures.<\/p>\n

Director of Operations, COP Vance Baba Gariba, emphasized that these officers will prioritize community outreach, encouraging voters to come out and exercise their democratic rights without fear.<\/p>\n

A portion of the force, approximately 600 officers, have undergone a rigorous five-day training at the High Risk Operations Training Centre (HROT-C) in Akyeremanteng. <\/p>\n
