Fidelity Bank Ghana has announced a contribution of GH\u00a2500,000 to the government fund established to support the families of the eight distinguished Ghanaians who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

The donation underscores Fidelity Bank\u2019s deep commitment to national solidarity and compassion during moments of collective grief. <\/p>\n

The fund, recently announced by President John Mahama is dedicated to securing the future and welfare of the children of the deceased.<\/p>\n

On Friday, August 22, a delegation from Fidelity Bank, led by Kwabena Boateng, Deputy Managing Director, Wholesale Banking, John-Paul Taabavi, Ag. Divisional Director for Corporate and Institutional Banking, Adeline Aryee, Director for Financial Institutions Group, among others, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, at the Jubilee House to present the cheque.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Boateng expressed the Bank\u2019s heartfelt condolences and emphasised the importance of unity in times of national tragedy: \u201cThis is a moment that calls for national unity and support for one another,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThese were men of honour and service, and their sacrifice deserves tangible support for the family they have left behind. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs a Ghanaian bank, it is of utmost importance that we play a significant role in supporting these families. We hope this contribution will help secure the future of their children and provide some comfort during this incredibly difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, welcomed the gesture and extended the government\u2019s appreciation to Fidelity Bank for the generous donation. <\/p>\n

He assured the delegation that the funds would be directed to the children of the fallen heroes to ensure their well-being and education. <\/p>\n

He thanked Fidelity Bank\u2019s management and board for their swift and generous support, highlighting the bank\u2019s role in rallying national support in the wake of such a tragedy.<\/p>\n

Fidelity Bank\u2019s intervention highlights the critical role of corporate institutions in nation-building, especially during moments of adversity. <\/p>\n
