More than 40 corporate member companies and over 100 individual members participated. Mr Danquah secured 22 votes against his opponent\u2019s 11.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Hon Emelia Arthur, officially opened the AGM.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Danquah, who is Managing Director of A.S Domdanq Limited and Akrafi Fisheries Limited, said his priority would be unifying members and addressing misconceptions about the trawling industry. He pledged to work with his executive team to tackle longstanding issues and strengthen the Association\u2019s credibility.<\/p>\n<p>He also thanked outgoing executives, including immediate past president Mr Stephen Adjokatcher, and acknowledged the contribution of GITA\u2019s founding members.<\/p>\n<p>The newly elected executive team comprises:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mr
