When asked how the single came about KJ Spio stated, \u201cKiDi and myself have been working on several records together in the studio in search of a new sound which fuses classic Ghana highlife music with R&B. Through the process we came up with a few records including \u2018Heat\u2019, I tried several vocalist\u2019s on the feature but Stalk Ashley, someone I always wanted to work with, came up with the sweetest melodies and vocals.\u201d

Acclaimed culturepreneur KJ Spio is a one-man mood enhancer \u2013 a musical multi-hyphenate devoted to upping the ambiance of whatever social situation you might find yourself in. <\/p>\n

Sometimes, that has meant managing artists like late great British talent Cadet, whose single \u2018Advice\u2019 he helped become a platinum smash independently with over 250m streams. <\/p>\n

Other times, that has meant creative-directing and A&R for superstars like Ghanaian icon Sarkodie, whose first-ever virtual concert, performing at the country\u2019s historic Independence Square, broke records for live streams. Genre doesn\u2019t matter \u2013\u00a0only authenticity. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf it\u2019s not progressive to the collective culture, I don\u2019t do it,\u201d insists the hitmaker, who began his journey in the music industry as road manager-turned-content creator for UK rap hero Big Narstie and hasn\u2019t stopped hustling for the music scene he adores since.<\/p>\n

KiDi Bio<\/strong>
Since shooting to fame as the winner of the 2015 edition of MTN Hit Maker (Ghana). KiDi, off-stage name, Dennis Nana Dwamena, has succeeded in carving a niche for himself with his smooth voice and charming persona. In 2015, he won the MTN Hit Maker competition and went on to be signed to the award-winning Ghanaian record label, Lynx Entertainment. <\/p>\n

He has since then relentlessly released timeless single after single; \u2018Say You Love Me\u2019, \u2018Odo\u2019, \u2018Adiepena\u2019, \u2018Thunder\u2019, and his 2020 smash hits \u2018Say Cheese\u2019 and \u2018Enjoyment\u2019 which led to him being included in BBC\u2019s Ten African Music Stars to Look Out For in 2021.<\/p>\n

KiDi has received several nominations for awards across and beyond Ghana. He won the \u2018Highlife Song of the Year Award for \u2018Odo\u2019 at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards, \u2018Male Vocalist of the Year\u2019 at the 2019 Awards, \u2018Album of the Year\u2019 for his debut album \u2018Sugar\u2019 at the 2020 Awards and the 2020 \u2018Artist of the Year\u2019 at Ghana\u2019s 3Music Awards. <\/p>\n

He also won 4 major awards at the 2021 Ghana Music Awards for Afrobeats Artist of the Year, \u2018EP of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year for \u2018Enjoyment\u2019 and \u2018Afrobeats Song of the Year for \u2018Say Cheese\u2019. He was crowned \u2018Artist of the Year\u2019 at the 2022 Ghana Music Awards and also picked up 4 other major awards alongside this.<\/p>\n

He has also demonstrated his ability to to work with other artistes as he has picked up collaboration of the year two years in a row with songs like \u201cLomo Lomo\u201d with Black Sherif and \u201cLikor\u201d with Stonebwoy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
