Fans of dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah, widely known as Shatta Wale, thronged the premises of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Thursday to demand his release after he was taken into custody over alleged tax compliance breaches.<\/p>\n

EOCO officials confirmed that the artiste has been granted bail to the tune of GH\u20b510 million, with two sureties to be justified, pending the fulfillment of all legal requirements<\/p>\n

In a video on social media, Shatta Wale\u2019s media manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah, popularly known as Sammy Flex, disclosed that the musician\u2019s legal team and management are actively working to meet the bail conditions.<\/p>\n

He also cautioned against misinformation, clarifying that the EOCO inquiry is linked specifically to taxes on Shatta Wale\u2019s yellow Lamborghini and aspects of his business operations, not other allegations circulating online.<\/p>\n

Shatta Wale was detained on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as part of EOCO\u2019s broader investigations into luxury vehicles and tax obligations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
