It\u2019s one of the hot potatoes that we inherited at the Ministry. By the time we got to the Ministry, the contractor, like many other contractors across the country, had already abandoned site due to non-payment,\u201d Mr Suhuyini explained.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/sotnews.agency\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/SUHUYINI-APOLOGY.wav\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n<p>He said the Ministry had been working closely with the Finance Minister to ensure funds were released, and that the contractor had now returned to the site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFortunately, as we speak, the contractor has received some payment and has now adequately mobilised back to site. It is our hope that before the end of this year, some significant improvement would have been noticed on that road.
