A fire outbreak at Accra High School on Sunday, August 17, has caused extensive damage to the school\u2019s computer laboratory, leaving the majority of its electronic equipment destroyed.<\/p>\n

While a handful of computers and tablets were salvaged, school authorities have indicated that a comprehensive assessment of the total damage is still ongoing.<\/p>\n

The institution is currently awaiting a full report from the Ghana National Fire Service, which is expected to shed light on the cause of the blaze and the extent of its impact.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the matter, Mr Aikens Kennedy Anarfi Kwapong, the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Domestic Affairs, noted that efforts are underway to verify the number of devices recovered and to identify the necessary resources required to restore the laboratory to full functionality.<\/p>\n

He further stated that the school is liaising with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and will adhere to its directives regarding the resumption of ICT lessons for pupils.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
