The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has approved a request by the Ghana National Gas Company Ltd. (Ghana Gas) to carry out a scheduled maintenance shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant from August 16 to August 30, 2025.<\/p>\n

According to the Ministry, the planned suspension of gas supply will allow for critical inspections, repairs, and upgrades to enhance the plant\u2019s efficiency and reliability. <\/p>\n

The shutdown, they said, is part of government\u2019s broader commitment to ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of key national energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n

To avert disruptions in power supply, the Ministry says it is working closely with key players in the power sector to deploy alternative fuel sources during the maintenance period. <\/p>\n

These measures are expected to keep electricity supply stable and uninterrupted nationwide.<\/p>\n
