Black Starlets Head Coach, Laryea Kingston remains confident that complacency will not affect his team as they prepare to face Benin on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in the ongoing 2024 WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following a resounding 5-1 victory over Ivory Coast in their opening match, the Black Starlets are set to play against Benin at the University of Ghana Stadium on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

The team held their final training session on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the crucial game on Tuesday, May 21 in Legon.<\/p>\n

\nDespite the significant win over Ivory Coast, concerns have been raised about Ghana\u2019s approach to the upcoming game against Benin, especially since Benin narrowly lost 1-0 to Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n

However, Laryea Kingston is certain that his team will maintain their focus and avoid complacency in the match against Benin.<\/p>\n

\u201cComplacency? Oh no! It\u2019s not in our dictionary,\u201d Laryea reacted when asked whether his boys will be complacent against Benin.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have our style and that is what we hope to show. We aim to dominate the game in terms of possession and win and that\u2019s what we will be doing on Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs for the Ivory Coast game, it\u2019s past and gone and we\u2019ve forgotten about it. The most important game for us now is Benin and we will approach it with all the necessary seriousness,\u201d<\/p>\n

Ghana is looking to qualify for the Under-17 AFCON in 2025 after missing out in the last two editions of the competition.<\/strong><\/p>
