President John Mahama has urged political actors and the public to resist using the tragic military helicopter crash that killed eight people, including two ministers, for political gain.<\/p>\n

Addressing the nation from the Jubilee House on Thursday, he called for unity, compassion, and restraint as the country mourns the loss of Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah; Environment Minister, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, and six others.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this moment of national grief, let us remember that we are, above all, Ghanaians \u2014 united not just by nationality but by shared hope, shared humanity, and now, shared sorrow,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a time for division, speculation, or political point-scoring,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He encouraged citizens to show strength and empathy and to support the bereaved families with kindness and solidarity.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the families, to the Ghana Armed Forces, to the Ministries and Departments that have lost dedicated staff, and to the National Democratic Congress, which mourns the passing of valued members, may you find strength in their memory and their legacy,\u201d the president added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
