Chief of Staff Julius Debrah was visibly moved to tears during the wreath-laying ceremony held at the Jubilee House on Thursday, August 6, as Ghana continued to mourn the eight lives lost in the tragic military helicopter crash.<\/p>\n

The solemn event, which took place at the Ceremonial Garden in front of the Presidency, formed part of the official three-day national mourning period declared by the government. <\/p>\n

It brought together high-ranking officials, grieving families, military representatives, and members of the public to honour the memory of the fallen.<\/p>\n

Mr Debrah, who had worked closely with several of the deceased\u2014most notably Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the late Minister for Defence\u2014could not contain his emotions as he laid a wreath in tribute.<\/p>\n

Among those being honoured were Dr Omane Boamah; Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology; Dr Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the NDC; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator; Mr Samuel Aboagye, a former parliamentary aspirant; and three military officers: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.<\/p>\n

The ceremony included candle lighting and silent reflection, with tributes pouring in from across the nation and the international community. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
