When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cThat he was only compelled to \u2018apologize\u2019 once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>The Rapper Says He Is Committed To Being A \u2018Better Man\u2019<\/h2>\n<div class=\"instagram-media-wrapper caas-loaded\"><\/div>\n<p>In his apology video, the rapper stated that he was taking \u201cfull responsibility\u201d for his actions in the unearthed surveillance footage. Diddy noted that he felt \u201cdisgusted\u201d by what he did and that he sought therapy and entered rehab after the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper said, \u201cIt\u2019s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f\u2013cd up. I mean, I hit rock bottom \u2014 but I make no excuses. My behavior [in] that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I\u2019m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it; I\u2019m disgusted now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cI went, and I sought out professional help. Had to go into therapy. Had to go into rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I\u2019m so sorry. But I\u2019m committed to [being] a better man each and every day. And I\u2019m not asking for forgiveness. I\u2019m truly sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>The Shocking Footage Of Diddy\u2019s Assault On Cassie<\/h2>\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered caas-loaded\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The video of Diddy assaulting Cassie was recently released by CNN, sparking outrage on social media.<\/p>\n<p>In the short clip with no audio, Diddy can be seen running after Cassie while wearing a towel. Upon meeting her, he grabs her by the neck and flings her to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>He then violently kicks her body before turning around to grab the singer\u2019s possessions, which were just outside the elevator she had tried to escape through. While all this was happening, Cassie lay motionless on the floor of the hotel hallway.<\/p>\n<p>After that, Diddy violently kicked Cassie again and then dragged her back down the hallway by the hoodie of her sweatshirt. This led to wild speculation about why the rapper chose this path rather than clear his name in court.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/sean-diddy-combs-settled-civil-lawsuit-cassie-so-quickly-because-2016-hotel-surveillance-video-says-former-cia-agent-8650644\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>People Magazine<\/em><\/a>, former special agent Tracy Walder revealed that the reason why the embattled music executive \u201csettled so quickly\u201d was because there was footage of him assaulting Cassie. Walder also claimed that the rapper \u201cnever expected the video to get out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the ex-CIA agent, the statute of limitations has passed, so a felony assault charge cannot be filed against Diddy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFelony assaults in California have a statute of limitations of three years. Since this stemmed from a 2016 incident, she wouldn\u2019t be able to file assault or battery charges in Los Angeles,\u201d the law enforcement agent said.<\/p>\n<h2>The LA County DA\u2019s Office
