Vivo Energy Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to sports development and social inclusion by donating an undisclosed amount to the Ghana Amputee National Football Team, the Black Challenge.<\/p>\n

The donation forms part of the company\u2019s Sustainability Week celebration, held on the theme, \u201cKicking Off for Sustainability,\u201d aimed at promoting sustainable development through investments in people and communities.<\/p>\n

Madam\u00a0Shirley Tony\u00a0Kum,\u00a0who presented\u00a0the\u00a0donation\u00a0on behalf of\u00a0Vivo Energy Ghana,\u00a0said the\u00a0company commended the leadership, players and officials of the Black Challenge for their resilience, determination and outstanding achievements despite the challenges they face.<\/p>\n

They noted that the team\u2019s success story continued to inspire many Ghanaians and served as a powerful example of perseverance, inclusion, and hope.<\/p>\n

She\u00a0said the company\u2019s decision to support the team was in line with its corporate values and commitment to empowering individuals and communities through meaningful interventions.<\/p>\n

According\u00a0to her,\u00a0Vivo Energy Ghana\u2019s sustainable development extends beyond environmental stewardship to include investments that positively impact people\u2019s lives and contribute to social progress.<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Ignatius\u00a0Elletey,\u00a0the General Secretary of the African Paralympic Committee (AfPC),\u00a0received\u00a0the donation on behalf of the\u00a0team\u00a0and expressed gratitude to Vivo Energy Ghana for the gesture and recognition of the team\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0described the support as timely and said it would contribute to the team\u2019s preparation and participation in future competitions.<\/p>\n

Mr Elletey noted that partnerships with corporate organisations remained critical to the growth and development of amputee football in Ghana and called on other institutions to emulate the example of Vivo Energy Ghana.<\/p>\n

The Black Challenge has, over the years, emerged as one of Ghana\u2019s most successful para-sports teams, earning international recognition and inspiring many through its achievements on and off the field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
