Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bj\u00f6rkegren has praised his players for their effort and fighting spirit despite losing to Morocco in the semi-finals of the Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

Ghana took the lead through Stella Nyamekye in the first half, but the hosts equalized in the second half to force extra time. With the game still tied after 120 minutes, Morocco edged Ghana 4-2 in the penalty shootout in Rabat.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the match, Bj\u00f6rkegren noted that \u201cI think we have a team that works so hard. Of course, when they had fresh legs in the first half, it was easier. We were completely dominating the game. In my opinion, we were better.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that \u201cIn the end, we were just fighting to stay in the game. But what can you expect when you had a game so close to this one? Yeah, I\u2019m really proud of what the team gave.\u201d<\/p>\n
