Let us beat the drum of peace,<\/p>\n

Let its echo roll over Red Volta\u2019s breeze,<\/p>\n

Where warriors once danced with pride,<\/p>\n

And <\/a>ancestors whispered truth to the sky.<\/p>\n

Bawku, land of timeless grace,<\/p>\n

Where the baobab holds the elder\u2019s face,<\/p>\n

Your market once roared with life and trade,<\/p>\n

Now silent, where fear and sorrow parade.<\/p>\n

Children no longer chase the dusk,<\/p>\n

Mothers hush their songs in the dust,<\/p>\n

Fathers speak with eyes, not tongues,<\/p>\n

As rifles drown the talking drums.<\/p>\n

But hear me now, O sons of the soil,<\/p>\n

Why spill the sweat of kin in toil?<\/p>\n

Why trade our heritage for hate?<\/p>\n

When peace is still within the gate?<\/p>\n

Gather the chiefs, the griots, the drums,<\/p>\n

Let truth rise with the morning sun.<\/p>\n

Bring the smock, the calabash, the kora string\u2014<\/p>\n

Let the spirit of Bawku begin to sing.<\/p>\n

O Bawku!<\/p>\n

You are not bullets\u2014you are festivals.<\/p>\n

You are not ashes\u2014you are ancestral calls.<\/p>\n

You are not silent\u2014you are rhythm and song.<\/p>\n

You are not broken\u2014you are brave and strong.<\/p>\n
