Chief Commercial Officer of MTN Group, Selorm Adadevoh, has encouraged young graduates to use technology to develop the skills they need to succeed in today\u2019s job market.<\/p>\n

Mr. Adadevoh, who began his career as a civil engineer before moving into technology and telecommunications, said the modern world is changing fast; therefore, graduates need to stay open-minded and ready to use technology to stay competitive.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a young graduate, adaptability is key. Use technology to work smarter and stay ahead in your field,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n

Speaking as the Guest for Academic City University\u2019s Paths of Purpose leadership series, Mr. Adadevoh addressed participants on the topic \u201cJourney to the Boardroom: Strategic Leadership and Legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Adadevoh explained that leadership is not just about big titles but an opportunity to motivate team members to do their best and tackle challenges with a clear plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a leader, you must inspire your people to go the extra mile and give their best. Always think and act strategically and do not expose your weak spots easily,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Debunking the idea that one needs foreign experience to succeed, he said that with the right mindset and hard work, the Ghanaian can build a strong career right here in Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can become whatever you want to be in Ghana. The idea that foreign experience is better is only a perception. Many Ghanaians are doing great work here and across Africa without ever working abroad,\u201d stressed.<\/p>\n

He also urged the students to think about the kind of legacy they wish to leave behind, noting that true leadership is measured not by self-praise but by the positive impact on people and institutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cPursue a legacy that goes beyond personal accomplishments. Ask yourself: what progression am I enabling for the people I encounter or the organisations I lead? That is the mark of meaningful leadership,\u201d he indicated.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sena Agbodjah, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Academic City, thanked Mr. Adadevoh for making time to share his experiences and ideas with the students.<\/p>\n

She explained that the Paths of Purpose series is one of the university\u2019s main ways of connecting what students learn in the classroom to the real world of work and leadership.<\/p>\n
